LEARNING & PARTICIPATION MANAGER

£25k FULL TIME (37.5 hrs/week), PERMANENT                                                                                    

Located in a spectacular Grade II* listed building in Clifton, Bristol, the RWA (Royal West of England Academy) is the UK's only regional Royal Academy of Art and is an independent charity, self-supporting for over 160 years.  Our vision is to be the South West’s leading centre for the exhibition, exploration and practice of the visual arts, recognised as a place that enriches and nourishes the lives of people from all communities and backgrounds.

We are now seeking a new Learning and Participation Manager to provide learning and outreach activities both within and beyond this outstanding public art gallery.  The role presents an exciting opportunity to build on the RWA’s dynamic programme of education and outreach activities delivered both at the Gallery and across Bristol.  Joining the RWA’s small, dedicated team of staff, the post-holder will work with the Programme team, our Academicians, freelancers and many talented volunteers to promote discovery of and involvement in the RWA’s artistic and architectural heritage for the broadest audience and to nurture creativity in all forms.

The RWA offers a number of one-week work experience placements each year.

We accept applications for work experience placements at specific times during the year, to best align with the school, college and university term.
