ART is the quarterly magazine published by the Royal West of England Academy. It is the voice and 'shop window' of the Academy taking RWA and Friends exhibitions and activities as its starting point to embrace the wider context of fine art.

ART is about the fundamentals of art: what do we mean by it, how is it made, who makes it and how to enjoy it. With a new look at a very old subject, our aim is to take the reader closer to all forms of fine art in an accessible, engaging way. Interesting, informative, readable articles are designed to illuminate the reader’s view of art – in most cases through the voice of the artist, rather than the voice of the writer, in ways that constantly inform, educate and entertain.
