Creative Writing Course
A new course held in the inspiring RWA galleries, starting on Wednesday 12 February. This course encourages students to explore the RWA exhibitions in a variety of new and creative ways. Drawing upon the themes of portraiture and identity you will experience how visual art can be used as a rich source of inspiration for your creative writing. Taking place in the actual gallery spaces, writing exercises and group discussions will help you develop your own work in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. No previous experience is necessary.

Photographic Portraiture Workshops
To coincide with our portraiture and identity themed exhibitions - February to March 2014, the RWA has invited professional photographer Stephen Morris to deliver intensive, short tutorials in photographic portraiture. Each tutorial of 90 minutes will focus on the practical details of a fine portrait: rapport with the subject, observing and capturing mood and the use of light and background. Participants will learn how to tranform a snapshot into an enduring likeness.
