J Patrick Boyle has spent the last few years working as an artist, producer and curator in Bristol, producing and showing work under a range of pseudonyms, most notably Motorboy. He uses appropriated images and text that explore the debris of popular culture. These are removed from their original and familiar settings and are re-presented in the form of cultural collages that provoke new associations and questions.

There’s No Emoticon For What I’m Feeling uses appropriated text from the internet in such an attempt.
