Bristol Refugee Artists Collective (BRAC)
Artists gaining new skills
As part of our Light and Inspiration project in 2021 and 2022, we have worked with Bristol Refugee Artists Collective (BRAC) on a professional development programme to nurture and support artistic practice. BRAC aims to give confidence to people to engage with their communities, overcoming barriers of culture and language.
BRAC and RWA partnered on a 6-month programme of workshops run by freelance artist facilitators specialising in poetry, sculpture, photography, calligraphy and painting.
BRAC members will be exhibiting their new work on the theme of ‘Earth’ at RWA in August 2022.
