Julia Cooper

Julia Cooper lives and works in Cornwall in her studio which overlooks Fowey harbour.

Julia’s interest lies in creating form and space using a limited palette. The subjects in her still life paintings jostle amongst themselves in various arrangements with simplistic narratives.

Living by the ocean also inspires abstract paintings reminiscent of harbour structures, rugged coastline and weather, again with the emphasis on a limited palette. Julia paints with oil paint on canvas.

Studying for Diplomas in both Fine Art and Interior Design Julia went on to work with The Cornwall National Trust and then eventually to paint full time.
