Into the Blue
3 Dec 2024 - 2 Feb 2025
THIS EXHIBITION HAS NOW CLOSED. PLEASE VIEW OUR CURRENT AND UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS.
To complement the upcoming exhibition Paule Vézelay: Living Lines and reflect the artist’s lifelong fascination with colour, this exhibition, curated by History of Art MA students from the University of Bristol, highlights works from the RWA collection that feature the colour blue.
Into the Blue asks how the colour blue, perhaps more than any other, evokes a vast array of emotions and moods: from tranquillity to mystery, from peaceful landscapes to dynamic seascapes, and from spiritual interiors to abstract compositions.
